I just got my car going again yesterday after my winter project-pulled the engine, replaced all gaskets + seals, cleaned/painted engine and all accesories, repolished my upper intake, valve covers and belt tensioner, cleaned up the engine bay, new T/O bearing, and most importantly, installed my Thumper heads and TMoss ported lower intake. Car already had a Comp cam in it (can't remember specs from memory right now) and its alive again!

My valvetrain is a little noisy yet, when I set up the rockers they all took almost exactly one turn to get to 18 lb/ft, so I have a shim kit on the way to re-set up the rockers again. Still need to fiddle with the fuel pressure and ignition timing a little bit, but I'm happy!

Do you plan on taking it to the dyno? I would love to see some numbers for that combo. I've always considered Thumper's heads, but I want to know if they are worth the money or not.
:stupid:

I too have really considered the thumper heads. For a blown applications I've seen guys push 400+ HP out of PowerHeads... yet the thumpers are just a tad cheaper and near the same airflow... I would love to see how your car performes with that combo. If you cant give us a dyno, please give us some track times, or at least your personal honest opinon.

Keep us updated!

I have a T-Moss already on and my Thumpers are finally going on in May  I was gonna get a new short block, but I think I'LL push my luck with the original !! Did you take it out for a spin? How did it feel?

Rio5.0 has the berst results yet that I have a dyno on - 255RWHP and 311RWTQ with Thumper Stage 2 heads, Steeda #19 cam and long tubes - his graph is below (kindy crappy quality but it's there)......

I wonder what Kind of multiplication my blower would add the power of the car with the thumper combo

I know thats worded weird... but if a N/A recieves, I dunno, 25 hp(?) from the thumpers... then what would my blown engine recieve with the addition of thumpers?

I did take it for a little break-in run but didnt really get on the gas much (because of the rockers being noisier than I want) except for one time out of the hole I rolled into it pretty good....and it pulls like a RAPED APE! However, I found out later that night that I only had 30 lbs of fuel pressure (Kirban regulator needs adjustment) so I'm glad I didnt get on it hard.

I'd love to have this thing tuned on a dyno, but I honestly have no idea where one is in my area. If anyone on here knows of a shop with a dyno in the Fox valley (Wisconsin) I'd really like to know!
