I would think you could use the stock seat but I don't see a need for a larger valve unless your trying to make BIG power. The larger valves may not even help make more power. Why are you looking to go with that valve?

are you nuts? The 2.02 valves sit pretty damn close to the 1.6 exhaust valves. I wouldnt touch them at all. Besides, the heads flow nicely allready, and likehe said, I wouldnt change them unless you're wanting big power...

i forgot to mention i just finish my 347 short block with 10.5 compression. that’s y i'm looking to upgrade the heads. i know the intake and exhaust valves are damn close but is it possible to change them or not ?!?!

Yes you can put a 2.05 valve in them and yes it requires machine work. As long as you have the p to v clearence and a custom grind cam to take advantage of it, you should be fine.

I thought about doing that to my TW heads for my 347, but i'm keeping them as is. I told Ed what I had and what I wanted and he grinded me up a pretty aggressive cam. Motor isn't finished yet but I just found out my cam specs today.

If that is the only reason you are looking to put the 2.05's in there than I wouldn't worry about it and just run the 2.02's. Minimal to no gain with the larger valves. You would be better off spending your money somewhere else.
