I can't decide between the 17's and 18's for my 67. I have seen many with 17's, but 18's are much harder to come by, and I would like to do something different(and my friend has nice 18" tires I can have :D )

I did a search and came up dry for stangs with 18" wheels..... POST EM UP!

thats why I made the post, I havent seen many classics with 18's, but I'm sure its just like any 17" wheel, because any 17" wheel can also make a car look either great, or terrible. I'm sure there are plenty 18" wheels that look terrific, but MANY MORE that make it look horrific, which gives having a 18" wheel on a classic stang more stigma then a 17".

I also like to break from the norm and be different when It comes to my cars

heres a pic of one that was for sale on ebay a while back. looks good if you ask me.

Yea I like that look.

I'm thinking if an 18" wheel is gonna look good on a classic, its gotta have a minimal of material(small surface area w/ large openings)..... kind of hard to explain.... but similar to the wheels above.

anyone know what kind of wheels those are above?

I wonder what 18" TT2's would look like

I would not want to hit a pot hole with 18" tires on it. Look at that pic...the odds of damaging a rim are pretty good. And to me that's too much money to have to worry about that. But hey...it's all about what you like right. I wish you luck my friend :nice:

Here's a pic of my '70 with 18x9" chrome bullits.

No rubbing problems at factory ride height (picture is at factory ride height). I'm currently in the process of lowering the car approx 1.5-2.0"
