Any pics of rolled fenders?

my fenders are eating away my $600 tires (255/45/17's up front and 175/40/17's in the rear.) day by day. mostly the rears. i could get some more narrow tires in the back, but i love the way the 275's look from behind. I've never really seen rolled fenders on the fox bodies, and dont know how hard it acctually is to do them. is it something i could take on myself, should i take it to a shop, or buy a fender roller kit? any pictures or feedback would help me decide on a lot.

Jack it up, remove the wheels, and take a regular hammer, body hammer or similar tool and slowly tap the fender lip upwards. Start in the middle and work your way towards each end. Repeat several times, moving the metal up just a bit each time. It takes a while to get it up out of the way, but, if you are careful, it won't show from the outside. I was not worried about paint inside so I have some chips.

The other fix is to install airbags in the springs. My 82 is lowered, and rubbed a bit on hard launches, so I airbagged the right rear, as well as rolled the fender lip.

89' hatch. I forgot that you cant tell since all my stuff was deleted during the "stangnet crash".
I guess i gotta find some time to set up my new name. I was getting tired of 89" RICE COOKER. It was just the first thing that came to my mind when it asked a few years ago.
Well I'll tell you what, Wannabe2.3T didn't take long either. I've owned 5 mustangs since i was 16, and I am only 20 now. 1-76' coupe four banger (2.3 maybe? ) 4-89's ( 2 coupe's, and 2 hatch's). And the closest thing I have came to doing a turbo swap is putting a brand new, pan to valve cover, 2.3 longblock and brand new a4ld in the hatch I currently drive. It was my first and only engine/tranny swap ever. Well now I know a 2.3 fox body like the back of my hand, bumper to bumper after 4-5 years working on them and being a member of the 2.3 forums for about 4-5 years also, Iv'e learned a lot from y'all.

I have 275's on the rear of mine too. They rubbed really bad when I first tried them out. Ate them up really nasty even creeping around corners. I just went to auto zone and bought the spacers that were like 7 bucks a pair and snapped them into place in my springs. Quick cheap, and easy. Also, the back end is higher up and gives it a more aggresive look. Every once in a while when I'm doing a good 70 and hit a nice dip my fender will eat the tire, but most of the time it's alright.

Well i just got done folding the fenders up. i used a pair of channel-lock pliers just to start the bend, all around the whole fender starting from the center. then i just had to basically tap the rest of the lip up and it was all the way folded. this made the fold have a nice round bend and pretty dang straight without much dents or chipped paint, and made it alot easier and quicker because it was less pounding with the hammer. the angle of the channel-locks made them perfect for the job. i recommend using them to anyone whos looking into folding their fender lips. besides not one of my wheels even coming close to rubbing, i am very satisfied also with the look it gave the fenders. at an angle from the rear, it made them look much cleaner, im thinking of doing the fronts also just for the look, but i might be switching to 91'-93' fenders here soon also. Thanks rd for the advice, this will save me quite a few more months on my tires.

I saw a guy at school who had the same problem on a Honda (front tires)..He used a baseball bat between the tire and fender and rolled around it around the fender to get a really even bend. looked great, couldnt even tell it was done...
