I went to Pro-Exhaust in Auburn and had my 'Packs and Bassani X installed there. Total labor was $140. For the headers, that could take quite awhile longer. Probably be ready to pay $300-$400 for labor. At least, that's probably what I would be expecting to pay. Being mechanically challenged sucks.
Yea, it's a nightmare to do in your own garage, unless you have a shop and of course air tools help ... but clearences are tight which requires a lot of work to move everything out of the way like the K-Member and Suspension.
i went to Pro-Exhaust in Auburn a few months ago and they quoted me about $500 for same but shorty headers. too much $, buy own tools and do yourself-much cheaper (harbor freights). that's what i did. plus, later you already have tools and knowledge for future install.
Man I have done the Bassani long tubes on a 4V car and they are every bit the nightmare youve heard. But the shorties arent that bad with a lift. Ive done them in about 4 hours. In all honesty unless your going for broke and trying to get the most power you can you dont NEED long tubes on a 03 cobra anyway.
I found a shop that will do full exhaust with Long Tubes for 500 bucks so Im set.
They have a 890rwhp Zo6 in their shop right now... OMG this thing is scary! They customized tons of stuff on this car! According to the owner of the shop the owner of the car had it clocked at 240+mph after they were done modding it!
They also have a custom 65 stang with a procharged 351 that is supposed to be close to the Zo6 when its finished.
I'm gonna take pics of the cars down there and post them up monday.
The guy that works on all the cars used to be the PNW Lingenfelter warranty tech and the master tech for Roy Robinson Chev but he does all the big three.
