:hail2: That thing looks great - please post how the install goes when you get it on!! :D

Heh, I'm going to leave installation to the professionals on this one, as my workspace is currently pretty limited. Makes me *really* miss having a garage. I'm going to see if I can get a custom dyno tune while I'm at it, so I can get a tune for the blower, Steeda CAI and Bassani mufflers I'm going to install too.

The fit & finish looks really good, and the instructions are thorough & very well illustrated. All the small parts are in sealed plastic bags labeled with part numbers that are referenced in the instructions. Nice. Each section begins with a list of tools and parts you'll need. If I had secure garage space I would have no problem doing the install, so long as I had someone to help R&R the hood and a couple other two-man jobs.

I was wondering if the Steeda CAI kit was going to fit ok with the change in throttle body position - though that it came forward slightly as well as up about and inch?? Sounds like you should have a great package though - are you going to have any Dyno baselines run before and after??

Sorry about all the questions - I am planning on ordering the Saleen blower from Haney on Monday if I can get ahold of them and yuou seem to be the first owner with one in hand so far!!

I suppose I'll know if the Steeda CAI will fit with the blower soon enough - I don't see why not, the CAI is made to replace the stock air box, and the blower is made to work with the stock air box...

I definitely want to get dynos before and after. Nice to know that new toy you just dropped nearly 5 big ones on including tax is producing results. :)

No problemo on the questions. royb will also have one today. Haney Motorsports is a small operation, internet only, but from the service so far I'd definitely do business with them again.

I got the blower :D

one issue though - ups turned it on its nose and some oil leaked through the nose/pully area. can anyone tell me if the nose/pully should be sealed so no oil can leak out of the nose?

See my response in the other thread, Roy - I wouldn't worry about it.

While we're hating on UPS (and others), the Steeda CAI, Predator, and interior trim pieces I ordered from Steeda evidently got swiped from my front door on Friday after UPS dropped them off. I'd only be about half as pissed off if I hadn't asked Steeda (a week ago) to send me the tracking number so I could be home when UPS came - I didn't get the number until I asked again today, but UPS shows the package as "delivered".

I suppose it would be a (stock) C6 killer with the smaller pulley they'll be putting on the S281 Extreme. I think some forged internals, larger injectors, a stronger tranny, and probably a bigger fuel pump will be in order, though.

The 05' s/c kit is a bolt on kit. There is no need for internal engine components...usless you plan on cranking up the boost level. Saleen has done alot of testing with this kit. For the hp level it makes, the factory fuel system is fine. The E-blower when it is available is going to have bigger injectors and pump.

Running stock fuel system too? Wow hope you are getting a hellva tune otherwise you are begging for problems.

John

Saleen provides a reflash similar to the one in the S281 SC that comes with a 36,000 mile warranty. I'm going to get a custom tune, though, and I'm not driving it out of the shop until I see the A/F graph on the dyno plot. I'm sure it'll be fine.
