Hey all,

Well, I finally got moved, sort of. We are in Ohio now. Missed being on the board. Had a lot going on. BTW, does anyone want to know what is between Amarillo TX and OakCity? NOTHING! The drive from Phoenix to Ohio sucked.

The good news is, I bought that 03 crate motor off of eBay. I was going to get the PI swap kit, but the new crate motor cost me about as much as the kit would have. I sent the motor to Modular Depot in Cincinnati OH. I'm having them add Comp Cam's XE270AH cams, valve springs, UD pulleys, long tube's, x-pipe, and 373's in the car. The guy there says that those mods combined with the custom tune will get me 300-305 rwhp and around 310ftlbs of torque. I'll post the dyno numbers when I get it done. Hopefully the numbers will be close to that. I'm also looking for a TKO or T-56 while I'm at it, but if I don't find it in time I'll do that later.

Hopefully all will go smoothly. I'm pretty tired of the lack of power in my '96. I wanted to maintain the stock look, so we'll see how it goes. I wanted to try the N/A route first. If I don't like it, maybe a charger or NOS will be in my future :D

Congrats Sal.

You made it! You can't go wrong with MPH. Heard great things about them :D

Good to hear you arrived at your destination. At least you get to drive your car while ur new motor is being modded.

Yep, they'll do the cam's, headers, etc while the engine is out. They said it will only take them 2-3 days to swap the motor's in the car. I can do w/o it that long. I'm looking forward to having more HP. The 96-98 Saleens were definately not powerhouses...

Yea, yea, Pony, don't remind me. Hey, I figure it is a lousy investment anyways. I don't like the performance as it is. It looks fast, which causes every TD&H to want to race. I figure I might as well have fun with it. Besides, I may keep the stock motor just in case...

yeap, that's the realization i came to, if i wanted an investment i'd be far better off selling the car and investing the money. once i was Ok with that, let the MODS begin.

with all that new power do yourself a favor and at least put Cobra brakes on the car. they rock!
