I know this is wishful thinkin', but when will the GT's be sittin' around on dealer lots for sale (and without that AWFUL Additional Dealer Markup)?

Was hoping that maybe by this fall when the 2006's are going strong that maybe supply would catch up with demand.

I'm sure Ford likes the way it is that they can get STICKER plus for their vehicles. Seems like it would be better for them to sell LOTS more AT sticker than fewer at STICKER PLUS, but I'm definitely not an economics person.

Also, please vote on the poll what event you think may help the supply/demand situation for a GT Vert from a consumer perspective.

GT 500 becomes available (some will go ahead and go for it)
New 'retro-style' Camaro hitting the market (competition always good)
Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky (sporty and cheaper, but less HP)
Time (Just wait it out; eventually everyone wanting a GT will be able to get it)

Well the Camaro program is offically dead.
Solstice does not directly compete with Mustang.
Time wont work, Ford announced months ago there would be more demand for Mustangs than Mustangs built.
Im not sure there are a lot of people who switched thier minds from a vert to a GT500 (If you think a GT or vert is hard to get, wait till the GT500 debuts. Not to mentions dealer markup.)

If oyu want a vert, I would suggest being at the dealer when the doors open to order a 2006.

I think if you shop around and are willing to pay MSRP, and aren't fussy about whether you have wheel upgrade, shaker 1000, and are flexible on colors.... then you can get one off a lot.

Or wait and do the same based on 2006 MSRP.

When will you be able to buy one for "invoice + $100"? too late - that was last November before the cat was out of the bag.

Good luck
