Battery in my 93 LX keeps draining!

It's really starting to irk me a bit. I was told to remove the wires from the bad starter I have. So I removed the wires and the battery still drained after I recharged it. Then I was told it was the stereo draining the battery, so I recharged the battery, removed the stereo, and the battery drained AGAIN! Do you guys by chance have any idea on what my problem could be? It is really getting on my nerves.

Also have the Batt tested. OR remove the Neg. cable then charge it, tap the cable on the neg. post, if you here a loud spark then theres something drawing on it. IF you have a PowerCap that will draw but not enough to drain it overnight.

We removed the negative cord and tapped it on the post and it was making an arc. I was told it's not supposed to be doing that. I'm only 15 so bare with me. :(

charge it up, then pull a fuse, then check it, and if that doesnt work, pull the next fuse. Or if you have a digital multi meter you can do it faster by reading current draw between the "-" battery post and the cable by putting the multimeter inline between them. then pull fuses and wait for the current to drop. When it does, you found your bad circuit.

This is the best way to find a draw. Set your meter to amps and hook it in series to the negative battery post and see what your reading is. Keep in mind that if you have a door or trunk open or if you have a light under the hood, it will be drawing some current and will even cause that spark you see when you hook up the battery cable. Then pull fuses one by one until you find what circuit the draw is on. Once you get that far, it can be easy to locate and fix the source of the draw or it can be an absolute bitch. One thing to check is to disconnect the plugs to the alternator and check for a draw with it disconnected. I have had more than one ford alternator in my time that had some kind of internal short and it will pull the battery down in no time.

A power cap should not drain your battery. It is basically a battery itself and all it does is store power.

Thanks for the help guys. I hope it works. If it does not, then I guess I will have to save up a little bit of $$$ for a Super Coupe engine and have that ready if the 4-banger keeps giving me *****. :D
Off the subject but just for the record...A super coupe engine is a supercharged 3.8 V6. It would be hell to package and wire into a fox mustang.

Not necessarily. A guy on SCCOA has an 86 Mustang he threw the 3.8SC in. He said the 3.8 block is very similar to the 5.0 block and it drops right in. He never mentioned anything about the wiring though. I will ask him about it.
