i know someone that has an SRT-4 Stage 2 and tonight he asked me to race. I said no because i dont wanna race until i Mod up and i also know a little about the power they put out. i was reading about them online and the stage 2 is putting out 265 hp and 285 in the rear wheels with boost. does it even stand a chance against us?

black GT, manual

thanks

i saw a stage 3 on slicks the other day do 11.98

he mite have gone faster too

I haven't done my research on this but I believe the stage 3 is a major upgrade and very expensive while the stage 2 is only a minor upgrade and not very expensive. That is a very fast time though.

The srt-4 is front wheel drive. You should have him from a dig but he will play catch-up and pass you eventually.

A stage II with a good driver is a low 13s car. It's a 2900lb package with the HP and torque your making....Enough said. If you beat him you beat the driver not the car. My son's non staged SRT put down 218 at the wheels when I did my dyno. With his stage II kit there is no turbo lag that was present in his old configuration. A very nice cheap package.

I owned a stage 2 SRT4 before my Cobra......

Its definately competion for the 05 Mustang GT, infact it would most likely beat you from a role. Your best bet would be to race from a dig, because the SRT4 is tough to launch and get traction (which is your cars strongsuit)

word. thanks guys for the input, seems like it can take us stock GT's. therefore ill wait until i start modding up and then we'll see whats good. and losing is not an option, i see this kid nightly and dont feel like hearing "remember when i beat u" or any smart remarks. just gotta see what the dealer says with the mods :/

the only problem I hear with the srt-4 is that they get really hard to handle with all that power.

Amazing lil mitsu engine and it is awesome the stage plan that mopar offers them.
That's not a Mitsubishi engine. The engine is pure Dodge. The turbo came from Mitsubishi.
