I know there is an interest in this...96-98 Hood

Look what I found in the SVT and DOHC forum on the Corral:
"Gauging interest here. If 30 people are down, HO Fibertrends will make a 22-25lb hood using the mold of the stock 96-98 hoods. Price would be along the lines of the R hood. This is perfect for people looking to take weight off the front end but not loose the nostril fascia on the stock 96-98 snakes.
Anybody with me?"

Here is a link to the post, please help spread the word. I personally think the 96-98 Stock hood is the best looking one for our cars. Please and Thanks!

I posted in that thread, if I paid the money for a glass hood, it should be a little taller, to stand out of course. I think keeping the same look with a raised cowl would be hard. but if they can or do I might at some point. just kinda hard to justify from what I have seen as a nightmare in fitment, and painting on top of that, atleast a grand, to get it right. that might be a little high, but I have seen more problems with them, than with the extra weight. my 2 cents

I too posted in that thread. I'm looking for a 1"-1.5" cowl version that keeps the multi-piece scoops, the bulge, and even the peaks at the edge of the cowl.
I also wrote HO fibertrends and sent the a 2-d drawing of what I was looking for. They said said they might would make one if there was 10 people interested to purchase one.

Any chance of you posting the pic?

Actually it was just a simple line drawing done in paint. It's on my computer at work and I don't have e-mail at work. Maybe I can try and get it on this computer somehow! I'll see what I can do. Maybe we could get one pf the photoshop gurus in the virtual body shop to do some magic.
