Had to break down and take the 03' to the dealer for some servicing. The clutch has been chattering for about a week now. I think its the throw out bearing and not the input shaft seeing as I can shift into and out of all gears.

My question for anyone in the know is , will this be covered under warranty? The car has just turned 10,000 miles and I have owned it for a little over a year. Im just afraid if it is the throw out bearing it will be considered a "wear part". Anyone had any experience dealing with something like this ?

Thanks again ....

I think TOB's are covered for 12,000 miles. I know of others getting theirs replaced under warranty.

Well the good news is its all covered under warranty. The bad news is the input shaft , pilot bearing and throw out bearing are all going to need to be replaced. The car only had 10,000 miles on it and has not been driven hard at all. The only thing that comes to mind as to why this would happen is the tranny wasnt "married" to the pressure plate at the factory ???? Putting the input shaft in a bind on the pilot bearing would cause this to fail ?? Thats the only reasoning I can think of ...

Anyone else had this problem with a 03' or 04' cobra ? I have read a couple articles on input shafts going but never to the point the throw out bearing fails with it ...
