FRPP Aluminum Driveshaft question again

I just orderd the an Aluminum Driveshaft through Summitracing (part#: FMS-M-4602-J).

Now I noticed the application says Transmission type T-5.

 Will this driveshaft still fit my T-3650?

It should fit. According to the FRPP website:

M-4602-J Fits 1996-02 Mustang and 1996-98 Cobra 4.6L with manual transmission
• High strength, 3.5'' diameter 0.114'' wall thickness 6061-RT62 aluminum seamless drawn tube.
• 1330 U-joints 45.5'' long (CL to CL of U-joints)

But a T-5? Hopefully the one from Summit really is a 'J' and has the right yoke for your trans.

Even if I mine is '03? Because the FRPP website says M-4602-J fits 1996-02.

According to Summitracing this Driveshaft doesn't fit my '03 GT because of the length (Tremec-3650).

So here is my problem: I wanna spend the money for an Alu Driveshaft. Which one do I have to buy?

I just installed FMS-M-4602-J in my 2003 GT with a 3650 - Fits like a glove!!! No worries...

Also - $229 was about the best price I could find when I was looking. I think that includes shipping. If you read MM&FF, there was an advertiser in there that had it slightly cheaper, but I have done business with Summit before and I trust them... Go for it.

less rotating mass = more power (less parasitic drag to the flywheel) to the rear

and with that less vibrations - smother ride, less force on the bearings, less wear down of transmission... Reasonable tuning if you wanna gears and it's one of the rare tuning where you loose weight instead of putting.

I emailed buyfordracing to ask if the part will fit my Mustang and here's their answer (BTW: good service: they answered my question after 30min)

Yes, it will fit.

So finally I got enaugh hints to be quite certain the driveshaft fits my model. Saturday will be the mid-pipe, cat back and driveshaft mounting day.

Does anybody know the torque specs for the new drive shaft and what kind of locktide to use?

I have the d/s installed. I wasn't able to unbolt the screws of the drive shaft (yes, call me beginner). Now that the shop gave me a little help I'm happy with that part. I feel a smoother ride on highways.
