Hey, since the 05 Mustang resembles the orginal 60s mustang i thought it "might" look good with the ford lettering emblems that were on the orginals, i made a photoshop to show what i mean, the one i did was not as good as it would be in real life because i didn't use the orginal letters i used a different font and not to scale with the orginal, if someone has the letter is would be nice to take a picture and display it, u can just place them on top of the hood without sticking them for the pic, i was thinking the orginals might be small so another option would be to use the 70s Ford Truck Hood letters i think there bigger same font i guess,

the hood letters are cheap priced around $15 maybe even cheaper, i guess u can install them using 3m double sided tape not sure,

They install using pins and barrel nuts. You'd have to drill the hood, or cut the pins off, and I'm not sure 3M tape would do the job since the letters are so thin. I think you'd be best of cutting the pins and using epoxy to hold them on the hood. Personally, I shaved the hood letters on my classic, so I don't think I'll be adding them to my 05, lol. Still a cool idea if that appeals to you though. :nice:

How about Mustang on the rear deck like Shelby will be on the new SVT? I wish someone would make the stick-on letters so we didn't have to use the barrell nuts and do some drilling.

I thought about that. But a real emblem would look so much better. I have a V6 and did vinyl letters that say Mustang and put them on the front where a license plate would go.
Mustang on the rear and Ford on the hood would look sweat, though, with a real emblem. Manufacturers???

Thunder Road, i like the picture of the old gril and the ford letters it looks classic, gives it a nice look, ofcourse this is not for everyone it might look good on red but bad on white etc... (colors are just a example i did mean it) I just think it could be intresting mod, im still not sure of it but when i get my mustang i will probbly be able to decide then, I know one thing for sure I will need quarter window scoops/louvers to cover that window and give it a better look.

you can't atleast for now, u can custom make it buy using part from the 60's model or wait til next year i heard that they might have something simlar to those for 06 maybe on the pony package

$1.45 a letter at Autozone. Adhesive stick on. I had them on for a few days and then removed them. Too much bling I think. I like a cleaner look. Too many decals and chrome can get to be too much. Plus I go to car shows and want a clean looking car. Follow the build on IG @GTCSSavior

The S197 has so much looking like the 65-66 and the style just screams Mustang that I think the less badging the better. My '14 says "Mustang" in exactly ONE place on the whole car - the dashboard on the passenger airbag cover. It also says "Ford" in exactly ONE place - on the rear medallion. My grille pony has no corral around it and the tri-bar Pony on the wheels. I just think it's a cleaner look. It's almost Bullitt bare in terms of identifying marks. JMHO.
