The Roadrunners Auto Club of Maryland and the Bluz Brothers Car Enthusiasts are hosting The Second Annual Shane Evans Fallen Officers Scholarship Fund Car Show and Benefit on Saturday May 28, 2005 at Carrolltown Mall from 9AM to 3PM. The mall is located at the intersection of Route 26 and Ridge Road in Eldersburg, Maryland. The entry fee will be $12.00 to pre register, $15.00 the day of the show and registration will be cut off at 12PM. Vendor spaces will also be available for $35.00 per parking spot for the sale of parts, merchandise, and food. The show proceeds will be split evenly between the Evans children scholarship fund and a college fund for other fallen officers’ children. Dash plaques will be given to the first 200 registered cars, and all makes, years, and models are welcome. There will be 35 trophies and 35 plaques awarded and voting will be done by participant ballot. The event will include a live band, DJ, 50/50 raffle, Chinese auction, and many other raffles for fantastic prizes. Last year, the event drew 248 registered vehicles and dozens of display and police cars were in attendance. Improvements to the show will include computerized voting, a larger lot to accommodate more vehicles, and the addition of a special class for active police vehicles. We are currently seeking sponsors and vendors for this event. If you have an interest in becoming a vendor, a sponsor, or would like more information about the show, please contact me at [email protected].

I am not sure myself. They moved the awards portion inside of the mall while we were busy tearing down the tents. At the time we were not sure if we were going to have another T-Storm.

The important thing is, did you enjoy the show?..Did you have any suggestions/comments that could improve upon the show? We do want feedback so we can continue to make it better every year.

Thanks
Brian

Yeah, the show was cool.

One thing is I think the judging should be broken down into further classifications. This show had police cars and then everything else. How about additional classes like late model, era, etc.?

Have the winners been published?

Not sure on the published winners, I too, would like to see further classifications, so we are completely in agreement on that issue,. I actually suggested that at our first show meeting early in the year, but was shot down. I will push harder for this next year. I will see if I can get a list of winners for you next week.

Thanks
Brian
