The 15 and 20 percent are just average numbers used to estimate the hp loss through the drive train.

Yea, but most people dont know that that is an adverage of the usual loss...but average doesnt mean accurate, especially in higher HP #s, stock GTs are about coorect with that % but S/C gts and cobras are actually putting less to the flywheel than they think.

Auto's aren't good dyno cars. They can make two different numbers. The TQ convertor locked up and unlocked.

My buddy has a TA LS1 with a 3400 stall. with his recent cam swap he made 380 unlocked and 350 locked also with a conservative tune. (Little rich to me but hey I am not the tuner).

There is a common drivetrain loss from autos but increasing the stall changes how the car dynos.

My friend dyno runs don't even start until they have the convertor locked or unlocked. The locked run started at over 3600rpm. Most dynos deack from about 2000rpm.
