car wont run when its warm

i own an 88 lx 5.0 . the car runs fine when its been cold ,even when run through out the day once its warm it seems to run ok ,but a bit sluggish, then all of a sudden its like its chokin or starvin for fuel then just shuts off .once you turn the key off & leave it sit a few minutes it will start and run maybe a block or two then quit.any suggestions,you can hear the fuel pump run the whole time also . any help much appreciated :shrug: :bang:

Have you done any mods and fuel injected? Check to see if your fuel lines are running against any hot parts where the fuel may be getting too hot and becoming vaporized. If you're still stock, then it shouldn't be that. I'm sure someone else has some better ideas.

One can lose a lot of money tossing parts at a problem rather than diagnosing it and buying the part that is needed.

Follow this advice and post back. Also Jrichker has some info for cars that wont start - you would have to pick and choose which info to follow, but it might help you.
