I saw the article a few weeks ago (5.0 mustang July 05 page 48),
but have yet to see a saleen with the rims on it.
They claim they are 19's, and from the pic on the page listed, i think they look sweet.
What's the deal marcus?

I have yet to see them in person also. The 19's are the wheels that the "ringer" car that the magazine, nameless tested a N/A car with. You can see what they look like on that small insert page area that you mentioned. If you call Saleen you can order them. I don't know any of the pricing. As of last week there were not any at the warehouse.
Until I see them on a real car I wouldn't be suprised if they nixed them. You never know. I would be curious to see what they looked like on an SN95 application. Slightly different offset I believe.

I'll be honest, they look better than the 20's.
And i'd bet they'd be right at home on your s351.

Trust me.

I like the way they look also. I would just like to see what they look like on an entire car.

You're right! The thought of the 19's on an S351 has crossed my mind already.
If I were in the market right now for a new 3valve Saleen, I would demand the 19's anyway. I'm sure they are not as light as HRE's but they have to be a lot lighter than those boat anchor 20's and everyone knows how I feel about non Saleen wheels on a Saleen.

I could get them and put them on my fox, and piss off alot of people that believe my 18's are already too big. (although they are not).

As i've said in other posts, the fact that there are no drag radials bigger than 18 is the downfall at the moment (at least i haven't seen them).

So realistically you line up on the street next to a 14.0 car, and it takes you till 3rd gear to even get close. And if that 14 second car is sporting DR's, you are in trouble period.

You and I know each other on this subject for sure. I have been contemplating another two front 94-98 18x8.5's for my fox. Did I ever send you pictures of the different offsets with the Lincoln set up, front and rear?
Anyway, regardless what other think, I feel 18's look fantastic on a fox. You are right, the only drawback with 19's at the moment is size availability and price. Sorta feels like Sony Betamax.

You know you could solve your problem with 19's with 4.11's.

There is a good selection of 19” street tires out there.
Not good enough though, as i said there is no drag radials, which are at least 50% better than any readily available street tire.

And since most saleens are not daily drivers, you might as well roll around on the best tire available, and speaking as some that has 18's and has had regular rubber and the BFG g force drag radial there is no comparison.
