i've posted this Q a few times but have yet to get an answer.... i just need some feedback so i can go through with it soon...just wondering if the manual brake pedal assembly can be used with the auto trans and auto harness and chip still in so the reverse lights and everything will work fine so i can do this step of the swap early and break up the time it takes for the job a little bit...will it even come out of park??( the brake activates the park release...) thanks, Kyle

Just to clarify you are looking to go from the AODE to a T5?

I think this is what is confusing me about this post.

Thanks,
Chris
yep, going from an aod-e to a T-5... 17...stanger hit it right on the head, i just have to be able to drive the car in the mean time or it defeats the purpose of doing this step early... if anyone can explain to me how exactly the auto brake pedal allows me to take the selector out of park im sure i could find out for sure by just looking at it if this would work...thanks

There is a switch on the brake pedal that tells the transmission you are stepping on the brake. Yoiu just have to look under there and find it. There will be on switch for the brake light. There may be another switch for the transmission or the transmission may share the signal from the brake light switch. It is probably a seperate switch though.

removing the drivers seat gives you more room to get under there and work.

also i removed the clutch quadrant while installing the pedals so they would go in easier
