Rivet size for plastic flaps along base of engine bay?

When I was washing my engine bay last weekend, I noticed that some of the rivets or screws that hold up those plastic flaps around the base of the engine bay are missing and the flaps are hanging loosely.

I haven't really gotten under the car to figure out what needs to be done, but I'm figuring a simple nut and bolt or rivets will do the trick.

What size of either do I need?

Thanks

Hey,As far as i know what holds the flaps up is a push in plug head is about half inch Pointed end is just over quarter inch. These are available at parts stores or autobody shops. Hope this helps you out.

I'm pretty sure Joe is talking about push pins which look like this.

They do come in different sizes and widths, just be sure of which ones you need.

I've got some spares of that type of push pin in my tool box. Did Ford incorporate the use of the same push-pins used for the plastic flaps which they used to hold down those plastic trim pieces which cover the rear bolts which secure the front seats to the floor boards??????????

They may fit, but the ones for the door panels are double headed to slip in the door panel slot. Might look a little funny.

Yeah, I know, but you couldn't really tell unless up got up under the car right up close. As long as they do the job and I don't lose the flap on the road, I'm happy :)
