I just picked up this car about 2 weeks ago and wanted to see how it would go.Ran at silver dollar raceway on friday night and thought my numbers would have been alittle better...(about 92-95 degrees out that night)
1/4mile----14.162 100.10mph
60' 2.183
1/8mile----9.217 78.97mph
And than on Sat. I went and got a Dyno tune up in north Atlanta....
256.89 max power
285.07 max torque
Just wanted to know if I could expect much better times than I got with my setup?

were u on street tires?, a 2.1 isnt a great 60' i cut a 2.0 on street tires with practice, and ran 9.0 in the 1/8th at 78.3, not sure whats wrong here, all those mods should be good for like high 12's i would think

btw my mods are 3.73's, full exhaust, k&n, shifter, pullies

maybe post a dyno sheet if your able to and someone more knowledgable can diagnose off that.

with those heads, cam, intake, and all your boltons, you should definately be making more then 250 at the wheels.

:stupid:

I made 260rwhp, 312rwtq, w/stock cam, chk sig, and I had driveabilitiy issues w/exhaust leaks.

Any codes, vacuum leaks, exhaust leaks, ??

SVTEET, when i went to the dyno with my car and similar set up i think it made 260hp and 290 tq at 12* of timing. They bumped timing to 16* and it ended up producing 279HP and 317TQ. Was i happy, NO, i couldn't believe it only made that much. For the price of the engine i believed it should have been higher from what Ford rates there engines at. Looking back now i would have Never bought i long block from Ford. 3100 for long block and 399 for intake. I could have used my money on other parts and have been more satisfied.

The only thing that might be a problom is when Im cruisin at about 65-70mph at a steady rpm it will start to miss or cut out alittle bit. I thought gettin the tune this last weekend at modular mustang would solve that but it still does it but not as severe. Also I have a VERY minor exhaust leak up by my headers and havn't found it yet.(hardly heard except to my ear) Should I start replacing things like plugs and wires or what?(replaced 15k ago)

dump the codes, that would be a good start.

cutting out/missing at a consistant rpm is what i had with a bad fuel filter/fuel pump. go over the basic's first, might be something simple.

what was your a/f ratio on the dyno sheet?

heres my dyno run....
