can i set up a V8 Cold air intake on a V6.
my theory is that the V8 specific intake is for more air coming in. So if my v6 gets more air from V8 intake, then the V6 intake, it will have better performance outcomes right.

If you want maximum air going into your engine, get a mass air meter, a TB, and a ported intake manifold. Not that your car needs all this stuff before performing other mods, but if your so set on air flow, there you go.

The best CAI's for your car are obviously going to be the ones built for your car. It makes no difference if the CAI was designed for a larger engine. If I rigged a CAI from a Viper for my car, it would probably flow like ass, and it would definatly fit like ass and look like ass.

Your car is only going to suck up the amount of air that it needs for a given amount of fuel. By adding a CAI, you are simply making it a bit easier for your engine to do so. Adding a CAI that doesn't fit your car is self defeating.

...MAN :nonono: ...I really don't want to answer this since there is something called the search button.... BUT,

NO!!!!!!

:rlaugh: :rlaugh: No, it won't work. Like Scott said, get a bigger MAF, a K&N drop in or an after market CAI (whichever you prefer) and port out your intake manifolds. I have links for those if you want. Just doing your intake won't get you crazy hp numbers, you'll have to do exhaust, pulley, tuner, cam, stuff like that if you want some HP and TQ.

Ask if you need help.

Don't forget to overnite parts from Japan. LMAO! ...Oh and you need two of the big ones, and you need them by tonight. :rlaugh:

I'd do 4 turbonators, 2 leafblowers, no MAF, no t-body, then mount a nitrous bottle right in the engine bay and have it spray directly into the intakemanifold.

That's like 500RWHP!
