Ok, I have posted many time about my pinging problem. I did everything from changing the rad and water pump, throttle body and sensors, O2 sensors... etc...

Nothing had changed. I followed a suggestion from here and baught a can of air intake cleaner for 5$ and cleaned my MAF.... Pinging gone and holly **** my cars feels 1000000X better than before.

So if anybody has pinging, it is worth a try.

If you run a K&N filter then you should either clean the MAF every six months or remove the oil from the filter all together. Most of the time that is what casues the MAFS to get covered in oil (causing pinging).

Glad to here it. I did the same, and it went away COMPLETLY. I bumped the timing back to stock, ran extra octane at times, fuel injector cleaners, ect, with no luck. Finally sprayed MAF w/electronic cleaner, and it %100 went away. I can STAND on it in 105* weather, uphill, with the A/C on full blast with not the slightest ping whatsoever.

My neighbor has a 95GT, and her car would ping in the high rpms. I poped her MAF off, sprayed it with electronic cleaner, and hers went away completly.

Cleaning the MAF is always the very first thing anyone should do. 90 % of the pinging posts out there suggest it. I did the same thing a couple years ago. The MAF was the last thing I turned to and bam, solved the problem (at least for a little while).
