alright ive been posting crap up a lot towards exhaust threads and i plan on getting a midpipe put on before summer is over...i already have magnapacks & they are good...but i want it LOOUUUDDERRR with the same deepness but more throatier i guess! i cant really explain it with words and i doubt anybody else could either...i hear all this talk about go x-pipe or go h-pipe...or even go prochamber...but i dont want to pick one and be disappointed with the investment...does ANYBODY have any clips of their 99-04 stang w/ packs and an o/r midpipe...or even a regular midpipe just so i can have some clue what to expect?!!?!

If you want ensane loud, get an off-road X. I think you'd be more than happy with a Bassani or Magnaflow Catted X. But if I had to do it over again, I'd buy the Magnaflow X. It's alot cheaper than the Bassani, but both are still great quality. And I still love my Bassani though. You won't believe the sound difference once the mid-pipe goes on. :)

and also there was a thread w/ a guy from cali who had a white mustang w/ clips of him pulling out on a road & flooring it...i never caught his name and couldnt find it a week or two later...does anybody remember that thread to help me find what his exhaust setup was like?

yea i dont think it could get "too loud" for me...so i was planning on going o/r and i really wanted to match the catback w/ the midpipe (both magnaflow)...but some ppl were saying that the h makes it deeper which would be a plus...so who knows!

well the reason magnaflow makes an x and not an h is that they were able to make more power with the x pipe. the magnaflow rep that post here has said that many times. The only h-pipe I would run is mrt and it is way over priced so I just don't see the point in an h-pipe. yesterdays technology.

As for never being too loud make sure you listen to clips as the packs are very loud off road. they also get a tone I don't like with an off road pipe. I don't like loudmouth or pack with an o/r pipe. IF you like the sound of open exhaust you will like it. I personally like the sound of a muffled exhaust better that wide open.

See sig, it's awesome, but if you want louder and deeper your gonna want a Prochamber or some type of off-road H pipe. X pipes give a higher pitched more exotic tone. O/R X will be just damn loud and a bit raspy I believe.

Is your Magnaflow X pipe louder than just the PACKS with the stock h-pipe? And is it catted?

I had the packs at first with my stock H and swapped the Maggie catted X on and I can say it's a bit louder and it is catted, I didn't wanna have to bother swapping it off for emissions every couple of years. Combined with the catback, there's a noticeable increase in power.

O/R X pipes just snap, crackle, pop too much for my likeing. I heard a Cobra with a Bassani O/R X and Bassani Cat-Back and it crackled and popped way too much. I did not like it at all. However, my catted Bassani X with the Bassani cat back sounds a whole lot better. Go catted X with the 'Packs.
