Thanks DB, your "other cool stangs" had a few good photos of stangs with 454-style wheels that I added to my "'70s with 454s" specialty site:

that black one's pretty bada@#$.
I was kinda very stunned when I first came across that car on an eBay auction a couple years ago. The reason was that it was EXACTLY, without exception, how I had planned to do my own Mach when I started it back in 2001. Black paint, Boss 429 hood scoop, 429 engine, C6 tranny, 454 wheels (non-polished), Shelby guage pod, etc., etc. I was completely stunned that someone had the exact same vision, but I'm also glad I didn't do my car that way afterall.

Anyway, I saw it like 4 months after the auction ended at the 2003 Hot August Nights auction. It was clean and very pretty, but hardly perfect. There was a guy there looking the car over and when he closed the passenger side door, the passenger side mirror fell off. :rlaugh: Still, very attractive combo. :nice:

Another with the same stance

Check this page out, I think these guys must be doing Air Ride on both their cars. I love the look but these must be taken with the air springs collapsed, almost laying frame. I don't think these are drivable in the as-photographed state.

I would LOVE to drive an Air-Ride Stang to see how it really handles. I'm still not convinced it would corner as well as a tuned stock (see Historic Mustang) or an IRS ride (wait for Reenmachine or similar) or an all coilovers ride. I want a shootout in a major mustang magazine.

Actually, the red car isn't bag'd... just cut/lowering springs, and as I recall, the guy drives it plenty as it sits in that pic. The silver car was originally that low without bags and the guy drove it plenty as well. Then Voelkel bought it and used it to develop his bolt-in rear bag kit and also bag'd the front.
