the "NEW" King Cobra

The particular contrast of the red decals/cobras set on that shade of blue looks really annoying. They should have used silver/dark grey or something on that blue. I don't like convertibles, either. I don't like the rear wing on that car. The wheels look cool, though.

P.S. and if that car is supposed to be king, it damn well better have at least 600hp, so that "regular cobras" don't eat it for lunch.

I'm so glad someone else thinks that also. To me with the top up the lines of the car just don't look right. But it does look good w/ the top down. The wingh is iffy, I don't hate it but I think they could have done better.

Is the COBRA name a Ford trademark? I thought back in the 70's Ford and Shelby had issues with who owned the name. Seems to me that if Ford wanted to keep different non authorized versions of the car off the market they could. The car looked gawdy to me.

agree with you on that, the red graphics don't go with the Sonic Blue cars at all, The NASA thype hood is completely "non King like", the wing is all wrong, and all through his description he says he's going for the king cobra... but everything he did looks early 70's big body mustang, not little II style.

Your little teaser pic of your 05 project was much more tastefully done, and more accurate for the look of the car :hail2: (not to mention the resemblance to the II to start with :D ) Isn't it about time for some more pics??? Hint hint ;)

Definitely, his '05 Cobra II visually destroys this blue convertible whateverthehellitis King Abortion car.

Unlike Sal's car, I don't think the intent here was to make reference or show resemblance to the II's. Most spoilers looks ridiculous on a 'vert, this one is no exception. I think the wheels look "ghetto". The whole car looks to me like an amalgamation of various styling cues taken from several different Mustang models.
Being a 'vert, and despite the II decals and distinct hood, it seems to want to emulate a 70 Shelby look as I see it.
I say remove the red snake decals and headrest embroidery, change the others decals to a lighter contrasting blue, add some less obnoxious wheels, lose the wing, and most of all....drop the price!

agrred the King badging doesn't belong on a car that is more visually geared towards the late 60's early 70's. Especially with as many different directions as that styling is going.

Now if we could get someone with a coupe to do one up with the entire graphics package that could be interesting, strech out the hood decal for the larger hood, get a set of T-Tops custom made.....

ohhh if I had the $$$ :(

Nice ride! The rear spoiler is almost like the spoiler I have on my coupe. This one is a little taller but still looks good.

Now, if only my coupe looked that good.
