03/04 irs swap into an 01 cobra

i blew my rear end in my 01 cobra the other day, and unstead of messing with pulling the half shafts and getting a new rear end i am thinking of just swaping in a whole 03/04 irs setup, i believe that it will bolt right in with no problems.... is this right or am i just being hopeful????
please help!!!!

may want to step up the halfshafts too. I had the swap done on mine and broke the 03 halfshafts on my first pass. Have 3.73 gears and was running new nitto drag radials. launching at about 3500. If you drag race only, not road course you will be $$ ahead to swap out to a regular rear axle. The stage 2 halfshafts were like $1500, then i have braces, 800 lb springs, Aluminum bushings, and all the other goodies you can do still have wheel hop. with like $3000 dollars into rear.
