No, tell him to get a stall converter and forget the 5spd. And whats the deal, he bought the car new and got an auto but he likes 5spd? What the heck is worng with him? Get what you want the first time...thats what i did, my car is perfect to me.

It was a long story but now i got to tell it.Ok he had a down payment said heres my cash i want a 05 screeming yellow gt STICK well they say take some cash back and wait 6 months well he wanted a gt then not later. So he wanted to know what 04s they had they said a 04 gt compitition orange and STICK well after doing paperwork( no test drive the guy knows what he wants) they bring it around to him well he looks at it and the lady said its yours, its ok. he replys as this isent my car wheres the stick well they work a nice deal and he leaves with a auto. I told him a stall converter would do wonders but he loves the stick, 5 spd 6 spd that is.

I wonder how hard the swap is though due to pedels and other things. DO autos have a extra bracket for the clutch pedel. If its straight fowared ill do it and help him out. T56 is 1k more over the 3650. thanks for the quick replys

The shop foreman at my dealership does alot of mustang builds on the side. A buddy of mine has a supercharged 2000 GT and he wants a 6spd, so I asked the guy at work about it. He said it will bolt up to the engine no prob, but after that everything is different. You have to actually buy a kit to do the swap, and thats just a T45/T3650 to T56 swap.

it can be done, it is not bad if you have tools, a place to do it, a friend, and all the little nitty gritty parts. be sure to bring the foul language lol. not that bad at all, i got a good deal on a t3650. just was not economical to sell the car and i really like the control of the stick, yes its a pain, but i have no regrets. was a good experience.

I did the auto to tko swap. I figured if I'm gonna do it, do it right. LaRocca's did it for me, as there was no way I could've done that one on my own. Was very expensive, but my car was already a few years old and had a lot of work done. If I was your friend I would just trade it in (being an '04) and get whatever he really wants. If he's really attached to this car (like I am to mine) then I'd say the TKO or a 6 speed is the way to go. BTW, I also did a scatter shield, spec aluminum flywheel, spec stage II, upr adjustable quadrant and pro 5.0 shifter along with the swap. Definitely upped the cost, but again, if you're gonna do it...might as well do it right (IMO)

20 oz pop bottle eyy that was good and throw MGW or TRI AX on the side with permenant marker. It just isent a good ideal to trade it in he owes 16k they will give 17k and a new one is 26k or he has the option of finding a 04 thats going to be sold for 20k off a lot so. its just not smart. I told him the best thing to do if you want the auto is gears and stall. Well for the ones that have done the swap are happy so thats good.Enyone know of a good place in seatle washington area to get it done i have limited tools here as in no air or impact and none of the right extentions.
thanks for the replys guys
