Gear (I know... another thread)

I know that there are tons of threads concerning gears, but in an attempt to combine a bunch of information particular to me.. this is my situation.

I ride an '03 GT with 62k miles on it. It's a 5 speed and runs really good.

What ALL do I need to purchase for the install to run flawlessly? I'm going to arrange for my uncle (whose a mechanic) to do it for me, but I want him to have everything he needs, and I hope it wont whine. Do I need bearings? If so where should I purchase them, and what kind of kit? Do I need an install kit for the gears? If so where and how much.

4.10's or 3.90's?

Motive or Frpp?

Thank fellas :)

I went with FRRP 4.10's and they're great. However, you may want to go ahead and pick up a bearing just to be safe. With mine, the bearing refused to come off the old one and got damaged. I had to wait several hours for a local auto parts store to deliver a new bearing. Just to be safe, get the new bearing. Just remember to pull the spacer off the old one behind the bearing.

You'll also need two containers of gear oil. Mobil 1 synthetic is good and readily available at most auto parts stores.

How about the speed cal stuff i read.. i get so confused.. what exactly is it that I need to fix, so the MPH is right. Links would help. I'm really sorry if you guys read these same question 20 times. I'm learning and one day I'll pass knowledge down too. I just got the car less than a month ago, and im finally coming out of the initial debts :p

Thanks alot fellas
