did he have the logtubes installed before the dyno? if so 50hp from cams is insane. Sounds great too..very lopey.

I don't know. I'll have to ask him. But I have heard of people getting about 40hp from cams. So 50hp from a Stage 3 type cam sounds resonable.

stage 3 cam would need valve springs don't they?

More than likely. I don't know much about Crower cams.

Sounds awesome but it's wasted money IMO.

There was a severe loss of low end torque, which you would use a lot on the street for high end hp which you won't use as much.

Here's a screenshot I grabbed from the video. He gained a small ammount of torque which is the only true measure of how much work and engien can do, but it shifted the torque delivery up by 500-1000 rpm.

Now those cams with a KB blower might be interesting indeed. A KB would carry the bottom end torque up significantly and add to the top end.

He is aiming more at the quarter mile track then the street. He needs that high rpm power. His goal is to run mid 11's NA.

Oh. That changes things a lot. That power delivery will be perfect for that goal. Easier to launch and more power to run out the back door.
