Stock ported intake dyno results....

results first.... GT40p's on 1986 motor. Very well tuned with stock intake and newer (60mm thorttle body). Added ported stock lower, cut, ported and welded upper with modified stock 63mm throttle body. Retuned for best hp and torque...

Tests were started at 2500 rpm.... curves were identical upto about 3200 rpm...

Here are some pics of the intake.... lower is ported to 1250 felpro gasket, 5 runners required epoxy... upper cut in half, ported to about gasket size and re welded...

One other note.... at this level, the panel K&N filter was no restriction and removing it reulsted in no hp gain...

That's a good increase across the board. I see it didn't loose any torque anywhere, which is always good. That is a lot of work you did on that one. What has been done to the rest of the engine? Stock longblock?
 
The short is stock 1986 , pistons MAY have been notched for the gt40p's... previous owner did that. All I did was fix the epoxy he blew out with a nirous backfire, and just smooth the transition from the upper to lower (he didn't have a good port match)

Has usual bolt on's otherwise.... pulleys, exhaust etc...

I didn't do the porting work.... I traded the intake for one hour dyno time ;)

There would have been a bit more power... the heads are as cast gt40p, intake is slightly bigger, but I did not feel like "fixing this" at this time...
