for two days the passenger side window went down only around midnight when I was comin home from work, but not during the day. now it doesn't work at all. I took apart the door, but couldn't access the motor. I'd have to take the sheetmetal apart. I checked all the plugs and they were solid. the thing is, its not even trying to go down. thers no grinding, humming, anything. all other 3 windows work. any ideas?

thanks

probally the motor. take the door panel over and reach behind the sheetmetal you should feel the motor there. make sure the connector is connected. then hit the area of the motor on the sheetmetal side with a hammer. don't go nuts just tap it. and see if the window works then.. if it does then it's the motor..

you can check with a test light too. find the conenctor and remove it. on the harness side push the switch in the down pos. and see if you have power in either of the plugs.. then push the switch up and see if you have power in the other wire in that connector. you an check ground this way too by connecting your test light too the pos. battery terminal.

I checked the drivers side, and everything seemed to be in order. I do have a leak right by the little speaker though. I would think it would affect all of the buttons though. what # fuse are the windows? I don't have my shop manual here.
