I know you guys hate these questions............
I had flowmaster delta flows and O/R h pipe on my old 02 GT and it sounded great. On my 03 Cobra I have a set of super 40 flows and would like to put an O/R h pipe on. Why do I not hear many cobra owners putting H pipes on these cars. An x Pipe does not sound good with flowmasters, at least it didn't with my gt.

Also, I hate to buy Mil iliminators and then later buy a programmer, so what are they saying you get from those programmers - mods would be complete exhaust and CAI.

I have went through those useless mods with my gt, but I know this is a different beast.

thanks for the help

You're right, an X-pipe (catted or O/R) coupled with flows sounds like crap. If you've already got flows go ahead and get an "H" pipe to go with them. Keep in mind that flows make the least amount of power on the 03/04 Cobra compared to all the other cat-backs and most all of the other cat-backs seem to make better power with an "X" vs an "H".

Forget the Mil's and go straight for either the SCT or Predator programmer. Even the canned performance tune that comes with the handheld programmers makes some significant power gains when coupled with just an exhaust and CAI. Plus if you ever do "pulley" it you'll need a way to upload a custom tune into the ECM.
