I need help right away here....

Im putting in my tach and figured while I was there I might as well ditch that damn white button. I searched and couldnt find the link to the procedure to do it. If anyone could put that up now that would be a big help...Thanks

no not on the tach...the white button underneath the column on manual cars that releases the keys.

hmmm, is it only on manual cars? Because my 90 5.0 AOD had it too.

take off the steering wheel column cover and you'll see how it comes off, reallly easy

Some folks take pliers and rip the button off. I have not done that so dont blame me when it does not work.

I chose to put an O-ring around the white part (button). Then i pushed the button up and wedged the O-ring up with a screwdriver. The button stays in place and it can be made OEM perfect in 10 seconds.

I just left the button as is. I will mod it when I change my steering wheel.

I disabled mine several years ago so I don't remember all the details.

I am pretty sure that I used a zip-tie though. I did not break anything. If I want to use that button in the future I still can.
