Not a Mustang topic at all but I just felt the need to blow off steam somewhere.

I woke up this morning to the news that for the second time in 2 weeks London's commuters have been targeted by Al Quaeda (sp?).

What is it with these lunatics???? What BS are they being brainwashed with that makes them think that it's ok to board the tube or bus with their own bodyweight of explosives strapped to them???? If anyone can show me where in the Koran (or any other religous script of any faith) it says this is something that's acceptable I'll stand corrected but to my knowledge that just isn't the case.

No figures yet on numbers of dead & injured, they'll filter through during the course of today & keep rising for a few days afterwards.

If anyone feels like letting the victims & their families know they have your support there's a good website here www.werenotafraid.com . The Brits got behind you guys after 911 maybe you could return the favour :flag: :canada: ?

Rant over. I'm going to try ringing friends back in blighty to make sure they're ok.

I agree with you 100% its complete BS and they all have been brainwashed to thinking if the complete there suicide mission they will be sent to a place with 70 virgins. "well thats what I heard" Why cant people just forget there differences and live in piece?? And the US thanks you for your support..

My pops was at 9/11 as a city cop(NYPD Highway Patrol Motorcycle Unit) and i live in the city, dont worry were all praying for you. Its nuts over here right now, security got beefed up 10 fold. Random bag searches, SWAT walking the streets, cops all over.... i like it, lets me know their doing something. Screw all the people that say the searches are unlawful and blah blah blah, they are the same people that ask the questions why something like 9/11 and the terror attacks in London could happen, f***** mornons

Like i said before, our prayers go out to you as they always have, to our best friends and true ally :flag:

Ya my prayers go out to the people of britian, its unfortuante there are individuals who would actually do something like this

I was listening to the news a bit ago and so far no deaths have been reported on this second set of attacks but it is believed to be from the same group
Apparently, the detonators went off but the main explosive never did

Very tragic and sad. Unfortunately these attacks will likely continue. My company has been doing a lot of rebuilding construction work in Iraq, Afganistan, and I think if the rest of the world knew how grateful and appreciative the people are for us doing what we are doing, there would be more popular support, and possibly less attacks.

Unfortunately the media in US, Canada (really against the war, as are the majority of canadians) and England, continue to spew this no progress, nothing completed crap, when that is totally not true. Sure its hard work and a tough job, but that is what Americans do, the tough hard jobs!!

People forget how long it took to rebuild the country and gain the trust of the Japanese, to reconstruct Germany, France etc etc. The US has time and time again been at the aid of others, only to find themselves relatively alone in a global war. maybe terrible acts like these will push others to root out these scumbags and make their leaders finally (really) stand with us.

Sam

Thanks for all your kind thoughts guys :nice: .

There is a lot of negative press about the war in Iraq (& the all but forgotten one still going on in Afghanistan) but lets not forget that's what the press do - it's all :bs: but it sells papers to the dumb & easily persuaded public at large. A person is a rational device capable of deep thought & great achievements - People, though, are a mindless horde who will follow the crowd.

I heard a comedian say the following quite recently;
"In a pack of foxhounds there are those animals who can follow the scent of their prey & instinctively know what to do. There are, however, a number of dogs in the pack who have no sense of smell & no instincts to kill - they are found at the back, running like mad, following a bunch of ar*eholes."

He was talking about fashion but it applies to an awful lot of things in life  .

Well just about everyone I know is accounted for. Thankfully no deaths - hopefully these lunatics will continue to be as incompetent as they are fanatical.

Redfire - take care out there & make sure you come back in one piece :flag: .

Thanks again guys.

I have fears that if the Muslim Community does not reel in the Fanatical Idiots we may be at the start of religious war.

The average muslim has no idea who these extremists are, or why they're doing what they do. Just like the average citizen of Iraq just wants someone to be in charge who isn't going to torture or kill them randomly. These extremists don't go to the neighborhood Mosque in Dearborn MI, just like the extremist christians who shoot abortionists don't go to my parent's church back in Boston. Every group has their whack-jobs, and the mainstream of that group is entirely unresponsible for what those people do. Let's not demonize muslims just because their whack-jobs are making the most news right now. We didn't demonize high school kids after two nut-jobs decided to blow people up in Columbine, did we?

Shaggy-you're right about generalizing a group due to a few whack jobs, but the average Muslim on the street has to make their leadership accountable. If the silent Muslim majority doesn't condone terrorism then they have to rise up and demand their leadership do the same.

Two weeks ago after the first London attacks Muslim leaders meeting w/ Tony Blair blamed the British gov't and the British people for electing them.

Yesterday a British Muslim leader said publicly that he understands why terrorists are doing it and expects more. That is a call for more terrorism-plain & simple. If we call him the enemy and lock him up for inciting terrorism then someone will whine about religous persecution.

The first step to fixing any problem is to identify it. My first step would be to hold the Muslim leadership accountable. If they do not renounce terrorism forcefully and stop inciting it they should be deported as an enemy of the state.

If that sounds judgemental tell it to my friend Bo Kostic who got incinerated in the WTC.

Topless Beach, you've hit the nail on the head here. The British Muslim Council should be standing up at every Mosque & telling the people there that these actions are against the teachings of the Koran & should be stopped.

By not condemning these actions they are, by default, condoning them.

I have a few Muslim friends back in the UK who agree with me on this issue so I hope there isn't a backlash against the Muslim community at large because of a few nutters.

You have twelve foxes who live near you.

If every night, a fox comes and kills some of your chickens and you cannot tell which one or two is doing it, all will eventually feel the punishment.

This is reality.

I was not talking bad about anyone in general, but the other foxes need to keep the couple bad ones under control, turn them over or the whole lot will be held responsible.

In Britain, someone firebombed the family house of one of the 7-7 suicide bombers. Eventually the sleeping giant (regular citizens of all walks) will awake. The good, honest Muslims need to seperate themselves from the freaks for human nature will eventually take over the general public if this does not stop. That was my point.

Amen Sawman-as to your point about Muslims controlling their peers, it almost seems that our government is encouraging vigilanteism, due to their inability or unwilingness to hold the Muslim leadership accountable.

It's amazing to me that we spend so much in lives & treasure in Iraq and then bow to the god of political correctness at home.

Too right topless & Sawman, PC has gone mad in the UK as well.

The Muslim leaders need to be convinced that their inaction is fuelling the problem.

It won't take too much more for our own nutters, such as the BNP (British National Party) , to whip up hysteria & gather support - then, I fear, there may well be a backlash against the Muslim community (who for the most part are honest, law abiding citizens).

Did you see the comments from the Congressman from Colorado who suggested that a possible response to a nuclear terrorist attack might be for us to bomb Muslim holy sites like Mecca?

I don't agree w/ that, and I think that would play into the hands of the terrorists plans to incite a wider holy war, but it's an example of the frustration of trying to respond to an enemy that has no uniform or country.

No, that kind of response would play right into the hands of the fanatics & likely as not create a good deal of sympathy for their cause.

I can't remember where I saw it but I read comments that it should be publicly announced that the remains of any fanatics would be wrapped in pig skin before being buried. The gist of was that as the pig is deemed an unclean animal in the Muslim faith the fanatics would be deemed unclean & not allowed into heaven. Assuming for a moment that this presumption is correct, and that it would cause these people to think twice before listening to the people who are brainwashing them, it would have to come from Muslim leaders in order for it not to fuel the problem further.

I can't see it happening, if for no other reason than it not being politically correct. God forbid we offend the fanatics eh???!!

I was just talking about this today.

If Christians or Jews were doing these sorts of things, would the leaders of each group immediately seperate themselves from the acts and condemn them??

I say yes.

As each day goes by and no actions are taken by Muslims to condemn these acts, I feel my belief in "good, honest Muslims" is waining. Maybe they all feel the same way and are just smart enough to stay quiet.

I have not given up hope in the Muslim community as of yet, but I will not watch them kill us off one by one either while I sit and hope. Eventually, hope runs out.

My fingers are crossed.

Tough times

The first thing that happened after the UK bombings was that I got mad. The second thing I did was give money to the UK Red Cross. The third thing I did was give blood (I know it won't go to the UK, but someone here needs it, too).

Thanks to everyone who protects us in the armed forces. It is a gift to me and my family.

Sawman-I feel the same frustration as you. I have heard some Muslim leaders here in the US condemn the bombings, but it isn't near enough. The British bombers for the most part were home grown Muslim Brits who had benefitted from the western democratic society they lived in. Yet they felt the need to kill women & children & citizens to "help the Muslim cause".

I don't believe this in my heart, but sometimes it seems that they come to western countries to only benefit their families, and they still hate us and our society even as they live amongst us.

Until the silent Muslim majority speaks out loudly and widely their true intentions in our country will be supect.

It's sad, but it is common sense. Define the problem; define the enemy. One enemy is political correctness. Our government's # 1 priority is to protect the people-national defense. It's time to wake up!
