Whoa whoa whoa whoa....

I'm not a Ford man, just a Mustang owner. I still love my Chevelle and El Camino, I just don't like what GM's doing NOW. :damnit:

Kris

Big high-five to you!

I've only owned GM cars my whole life, I'm finally ready to buy something brand new, and Chevy drops the ball... Hello 2005 Mustang.

Uh, yeah. The Aztec has to be the worse-looking car I've ever seen. It's the kind of design that, when you see it on the road, you just kind of go "Huh?"! :notnice:

What, in god's name, were they smokin' when they put that one out?

That is one car/SUV I don't understand. Who in the hell would buy an AZTEK??? Who passes up a Ford Explorer and is like "Hmmmm...Sure it's functional but it just isn't hideous... I think i'll take the Aztek..."

I don't think he was saying you will get flamed for liking the looks of the drawing, but for how old the pic is and how many times it has been discussed on this board and others. Don't fret though, someone posts this pic up every few weeks.

Hit the nail right on the head... I am all for any branded car as well. I love my mustangs, but a lot of classic cars make me melt.

And yeah I really like the art work as well, very well done.

Latest rumor is that the next Camaro will be built of the same Miata wanna be platform that GM is using for the Soltice.

A new 4 cyl Camaro will really perk up the GM loyalests.

From what I've heard, there will be an affordable, V8, rwd coupe from GM at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2006. They're not calling it a Camaro as of yet, but it may be as time gets closer. This info comes from the GM performance division leader Scott Settlemire (former Camaro brand manager for GM). It's supposed to be a modern design with cues hinting toward retro.

As far as magazines articles go, they are sometimes 3-4 months behind in the auto news they deliver. That news was released months ago and it gets rehashed 3-4 months later when mags finally gets to the next issue. Have you ever noticed how you get some mags in as much as 2 months in advance? Those articles had to be brand new at one time, and could be written up and printed the next month and then mailed out.

Just my little two pennies :)

Definately was a kick a$$ design, GM wouldn't of gone wrong with producing a car like that. Would of sparked a whole new era of GM vs Ford! I know what you mean by the Mustang owner thing. I'm a Chevy guy at heart myself! :hail2:

They aren't going to take the Pontiac GTO, and slap "Chevy" and "Camaro" emblems on it, are they? :D

Remember, GM has already stated that they cut spending on any new Camaro designing. So, the way a Camaro would come up for sale, is if they just re-use something that is already in production.

Same thing an '05 GTO would

:p

I don't think so :rlaugh: First of all, the 05 GTO is fricking ugly. If the new Camaro was actually as pretty to look at as my GT, then the resale would drop like a rock. I would hate to be :owned: by a new Camaro! I guess I would then have to consider the procharger or twin turbos :)

True, but I'm sure Ford will bump the power up on the GTs in the coming years plus there hasn't been anything but rumors about the new Camaro for some time now as well as for most of the history between the 2 cars the Camaro/Fireturds have had more power for a long time now. Not to mention Chevy has found a way to just about screw every car up that they have in recent times. But I think it'd be awesome to have Mustangs, Camaros, even Challengers (Chargers to an extent too) ruling the streets again. :hail2:
