whats the 1/4 mile time for a stock 2002 V6 ( Man. ) Mustang ?

I cant seem to find a 1/4 mile time for my car since i never got to a track yet....and at tracks do you have to buy a helemt certified for racing ? ? ?

no please dont wear a helment most places dont require you to wear a helment. but your stang should run a mid 15s. my 99 v6 mustang runs mid 15s and mines a auto and its completly stock hell i even dont have a K&N air filter

Usually, you don't have to wear a helmet until you're in the 12's, IIRC.... that's when they told my friend to get one at least... never had it happen to me haha.

Oh, and mid 15 stock auto vert.... not likely... but I'm willing to be proven wrong if you have proof.

nhra and ihra require a helmet for most classes running 13.99 or quicker. The helmet rule is just applied to everyone to avoid confusion. Best to check at the track you plan on running if it's required.

no you really dont have to wear a helmet unless you just want to get made fun of for running 15up at the track. now if you have somthing that will run below a 10 flat i can see somone wearing one. now about the time slip thats my fault for not posting my time slip on the forum its all just the matter of getting a camera to take the picture of the slip. mark my word i will post it on this forum this friday night.

To answer your first question... my car went 15.5@90 w/ a not-so-good 2.331 60' when I was virtually stock... maybe slower. The conditions were good however. I would shoot for a 15.7-8 or so in a stock car and less than ideal conditions. Expect any better and you're likely to be disappointed. Good luck.

No, they are smart enough to be at the track and having a good time. That same 17 second car is just as likely to hand you your ass in bracket racing as a 10 sec full on drag car.

17 sec trap is about 80 mph. i'd say that is fast enough to split your skull if a tire blows and throws you into the wall or the other car

well millions of people drive on the highway each day and they dont wear any helmets and thay are (at risk of blowing a tire) go to my track and go 17sec in the 1/4 and let me count all of the people calling you a retard thats why you wear a seat belt it prevents you from splitting your skull DUH. but are you trying to tell me that your mom makes you wear a helmet hahahahaha. but thats besides the point the main reason that you wear a helmet is when you get below the 10sec range FOR THE 5TH BILLIONTH TIME im going to post a thread about this and see how many people dont wear a helmet in there daily drivers going 13sec and up.

Seriously man, you don't need a helmet. NHRA doesn't require one until 8.59 1/8th mile. Hell, I run at my track with the top down sometimes.
