This is for any Questions and such about racing vids, car vids, video equipment, posting videos etc. I thought that we could use a thread like this, it might be fun/cool for a while.

So anyway, i'm trying to make a video with my car and some of my buddies cars' and i've got a nice camera and such but I was wondering if you guys know what I need to do for editing, like should I bring it somewhere or what kind of editing software should I get, etc? Just wondering if any of you have done videos or know anyone thats done videos (wether or not there car oriented), just looking for some help with stuff etc.

Most newer video camera should come with software editing stuff. When I bought my camcorder for my trip, it came with a disk. I haven't tried it so I can't say how good it is, but it looks like if I can edit stuff out and put in text, and different special effects. I think that's all you really need, right? If not, I think there's this apple program that been used to edit a few movies...suppositly it out on the market. Forgot the name though.

I got my camera around christmas and I don't remember if it came with a editing disc and if it did, I can't find it. 'Cause I thought that too and I went looking for it and I spent around an hour and a half lookinand couldn't find it. I'll probably just go to Comp-usa or Circuit City or some place of the sort and get a whole software set-up. I should be done with the video i'm making by late September so i'll post that beast up.

Blah, don't go to compusa. I bought my computer from there. The flat screen box looked open but they said that it wasn't because they don't sell repackaged stuff(complete lie). I took it because it was the only 18 screen in stock. Came home, I found HAIR on the screen. I called those MO FO's up, because I hate when people lie. First call, they pick up. I explain the situation, they HANG UP. I call again, they put me on hold and then they HANG UP. I call again pissed but, what do I get? There message that they're closed for the day. Never again. Instead I went with the 17 inch, it's cheaper and hairless.

Hell yeah that helped! I think I might get that first one on the right, seems good and got good ratings and it's fairly cheap for what you get. :nice: BTW i'm sorry to hear about the hair on your monitor. I had that happend to a friend of mine and he hasn't been the same since, completely traumatized him.

Really, tell your friend that there are others like him out there. HE DOES NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS ALONE. There's this group that I go to. I think he should go to it. SOHM(Survivors of Hairy Monitors). It's website is www.SOHM-USA.com. I took a look at the program that came with my camera and it looks like to him that it's only for photos :(. Damn it. I guess I'm gonna need to buy one too...

(Voice of Bob Villa... the Oxy Clean guy)

Hi, i'm Bob Villa. Many of you may know me a s the douche bag on T.V. who sells Oxy-clean and other shyty products that probably don't work, but today i'm here to talk about a slightly more important case.
Hairy Monitors.
For only ten cents a day you can help those who have fallen victim to H.M.D. or Hairy Monitor Disease. It's a very life threatening disease that claims nearly 7 victims a year, don't let yourself become a victim. So, please call this number 1-800-2NO-HAIR and contribute only 10 cents a day, so that little Timmy here won't have to know this tragic and life changeing disease. Let's put a stop to hairy monitors once and for all.

:stupid: Look and sound alike, but they're not the same guy....

anyways, back on topic, anyone know where you can host vid clips online for free/cheap?

How much are you trying to host? You could proboly host a few clips with anglefire.com Try them. I've never tried this, but I guess you can host them on putfile.com but then thing is that they make it public and I don't know how long you can host it...
