If you do a lot of highway driving, go with the 3.73's, if you seldom do any highway driving, then go with the 4.10's

I drive 80 miles a day, all highway on my car, it has 115k miles on stock longblock and gets 21-22 mpg highway.

all this and my non-headswapped car would most likely beat you at the track (as long as you aren't spraying :))

I'm not saying that you can't do a lot of highway driving with 4.10's it's just that if you do, your adding a lot of extra engine wear, kinda like me driving in 4th gear [ well, not quite] I'm getting 24-25 mpg [30-31 imperial gallon] with the stock 3.27's,

I'm not sure if you'd beat me now or not, I picked up a set of 555R's, but I've never tried them when I wasn't spraying.
Your best corrected:[email protected]
My best corrected w/street tires:[email protected] [2.11 60ft]
but wether I could beat you now or not, your times with that non-pi Stang of yours are very impressive :nice:

I have 4.30s in my GT and I love them. And I do a ton of highway driving. Revving a couple hundred RPMs higher is *not* causing "a lot of extra engine wear". If it is, then the 4.6 is a POS and needs to be replaced with something decent.

Ok just for kicks, please explain to me why an engine spinning at 3930rpms [rpms at 70mph with 4.30's] would not have any extra wear than an engine spinning at 2950rpms [rpm's at 70mph with 3.27's] after, say, 100,000 highway miles.
