Ordered my 06 today,Have a question?

Ordered my 06 today,Now he says he put order in but got nothing back???

Brought the 06 order guide to the dealer and he put all my options on his dealer order form and told me he is not going to put any prices on this yet beacause I'm x-plan. He said after he orders it and gets all the numbers he will call me with all the numbers I need to call for the robot lady,etc. I left 500.00 dep. but did not sign anything. He said he will put the order in on Mon. because if he did today it would probably just sit there until then. Just want to make sure this all sounds right? And what kind of paperwork should I expect from him after he orders it? Thanks.

I got a copy of a full invoice on my '06 X-Plan order on Wednesday that had MSRP and Invoice prices for all of my options plus the total X-Plan (and A/D-Plan) prices.

I would not trust him... Get something signed and in writing. It is standard procedure. He is going to try to mark up the car in the very end with fees, and you will likely take the car because you have waited so long. That is what he is counting on. Besides, if you dont buy it, he figures anyone else will. Go back and get something in writing. Otherwise, take your money back and go somewhere else... No exceptions... Good luck...

I ordered my '06 on July 20th, and my dealer faxed me a copy of the order confirmation within an hour. It has both MSRP and invoice pricing. I didn't use any of the plans, but got $1000 off MSRP. It sounds to me like your dealer is just taking you off the market and really doesn't intend to get you a car.

When he orders the car on Monday, you should get a DORA(which is an order form) with the following information on it:

1. The x-plan price you will be paying(since you ordered the car and he knows what you have ordered, options, etc. he should be able to tell you the price)

2. Priority number(10 being the best)

3. Each one of the options you ordered(IUP, Manual trans, color, etc.)

4. Order date(The date the car was ordered, which should be Monday)

If you don't get one of these, go somewhere else. It sounds like this guy is waiting to see how much money he will be able to charge you later, there is no reason why he can't tell you the final price of your car NOW!!!

I don't have my DORA yet, but my invoice had "PRIORITY: 10" on it. I understand that's the best, but what does it actually mean?

I ordered my 06 on July 16th and had my confirmation that same day. He should have the confirmation for you on Monday. Not sure why he did not place the order today. Watch the priority he gives you on the order. Good luck!

The dealer called me back Fri. and said he put the order in to ford and got back nothing. I do actually trust this guy, but I'm starting to think he doesn' know what he's doing.

Hmm this same thing happened to me at the dealership I ordered from
They said they couldn't tell me the price yet because ford hasn't released pricing info yet
Then when I called back another day they said production doesn't start until august 1st so they can't tell me anything until then
Basically, I have to just wait for them to call me according to him

Now that you bring this up I am suspcious of my dealers intent

It doesn'r really matter whether he's dishonest or incompetent does it? When I ordered mine I got the usual paper work w/ prices, but I also got a purchase order w/ prices that included my down payment that I signed. This is supposed to protect x-plan buyers from price increases while you wait.

your situation made me think of mine, i ordered my gt on july 2nd and gave my down payment and he gave me a receipt. I called him a couple of times since then to know when it will be built or the price etc... He told me he did not have the prices yet or the confirmation #. I just trusted him, but maybe i should put the pressure on because he did say yes to the x-plan considering i work for Domtar. I will call him on tuesday and request price info and confirmation #. Im from Canada so it might be different here. not sure but we will see. He did say the whoever he talked to about the order said it might be in only in november or december because of all the 05's being bumped up to 06.
