Chicane pulley for S4 (2.97") sticks out too far. It's not much, maybe 1/16th to 1/8th of an inch tops but it's obvious when you look at it from the side. The wear marks on the idler pulley below don't match up to where the belt is sitting now. It has chewed up a gatorback belt up in less than a week but seems to be doing ok since I put the stock saleen belt back on although there is some belt dust and I can smell it every so often.. Since it sticks further out than the other pulleys, the belt is pushed toward the inside lip and that is where the friction is occuring. Anyone else having a similar problem or not having the problem at all?

fall star i got that from joe its for a s4 i think maybe we should call reichart racing

Not what I wanted to hear since I cancelled my order with RR and bought a Chicane pulley. Reichard Racing is back-ordered for about a month and a half, that's why I went with Chicane's (and Chicane's was cheaper...$119 vice $150).

Anyone know what the stock pulley size is? The Chicane pulley is apparently 2.97" and the RR is 3.0" (the size they stock).

I agree that RR is probably the way to go.

Well, when my Chicane pulley gets in I'll let you know how it aligns with the other pulleys. Is it possible you bolted it 180 reverse, or is there really only one way to mount it?

Did you happen to measure or can you measure the stock pulley? My car is down in Virginia right now and I'm up in Jersey. Also, you say you measured the Chicane pulley and it is in fact 2.97"? I asked Joe when I ordered mine, but he wouldn't give me an answer...just said he made it as small as he possibly could and never measured what the size was.

This sucks, I may just send the pulley back and wait for RR to make a 2.7" for me. Is there really a difference in pulleys? RR claims "ultra-grip" and less slippage compared to others...how is their pulley better?

Thanks...

Fallstar I have the EXACT Same Problem Literally. Mine is a Reichard Racing 3.0 Ultra grip blower Pulley. I had in on for 20 minutes, started the car, and the belt jumped over the lip of the Pulley because it sticks out to far from all the other pulleys, 1/8in exactly. I Personally talked to Jimmy at Reichard racing and he sayed that hundreds of people are having the same problem, and that they are Making New pulleys for the 03-04 Saleen Series IV (4) superchargers. He told me to send it back and i will get one that works soon.

And Chicanes Pulleys are Recihard racing pulleys.
