Well, I got it dynoed again and it looks like the AF wanted to creep up after 6500 so we shut it off. I don't like to see it any higher than 12.2 but you can tell even at 6500 it is still wanting to make more power. I think we will leave it like this for a while. I just listed this car on Ebay. Hopefully it will go to a good home. I can't believe how low I set my reserve. I feel like I am giving this car away.

Feel free to check out the auction for pics of my car and also the dyno sheet. It made 411rwhp and 374rwtq. I would attach a pic here of the dyno but my pics are always too big. The auction item # is 4565273618ID.

I am just about ready to sell one of the kids. I wonder if Ebay is a good place for that?

Any luck in selling your 351? I can't believe how low Ebay saleen sales are right now. I put my reserve at $26K and it still hasn't hit it yet.

On the up side, there are 3 very interested buyers, any one of which might call me and ask to end the auction early.

Thanks Marcus for the finger crossing,

Only two days left... I'm really surprised it isn't a little higher. I have answered so many questions by bidders via the phone and email. Hopefully they are waiting till the end to bid.

I know this feeling!!! I even got many mileage questions even though I went to get detail about it in the auction description. Hopefully you will get a flurry of bids at the end or your auction and get what you need out of your Saleen.

At this point, I've got nothing but low ball offers. For some reason people think I will just give the car away. It would be nice to move it to the next person, but I don't HAVE TOO. I think some people really read into the fact that I just purchased a home and I would just dump it because I have too. It is a buyers market right now which I do realize. So I went into the auction with this attitude. I want xxx amount for the car (which I know it is worth at this point in time) and if I don't get it, it stays home with me. At least the speedster won't be lonely in its new six car garage next month :D Although Maybe Marcus95 might have a few toys that need a roof over there heads

Wow, I wish I had a six car garage :) Not that I could fill it up but at least I could try.

I had one offer today that was just under my reserve. If my reserve is not reached I may sell it to him. At this point in time there are 4 very serious buyers, only 2 of which are bidding. I'm wondering if the others are using the automated feature or just waiting till the end? I wouldn't be suprised if it goes tomorrow. I have contacted each person that has called and asked if I could send them anymore information.

I still can't believe how low these prices are? Mark at performance autosport said $28K-$29K was a very good price. If only I had spent $29K on this car :)

Well, the auction only brought $25,200. There were two bids over $25,000 and those two guys seemed pretty interested. One guy was calling me back and the other is working on getting a loan. I can't believe how some guys bid without having their finances in order?

That's ebay for you.

Did you ever hear of that 11 year old kid a few years back who bid and won over 3 million dollars of merchandise, including cars? I would have hated to have been his parents.

:) That sounds like something my kid would do.

If this guy doesn't come through with the financing I will list it on Mark's site. Who knows I may get more than $26,000 for it there. One week on Ebay doesn't say much. A month on Performance Autosport's website may provide better results. Especially when there is an Extreme for about $12K more that offers less performance.

That red extreme with the black wheels has been on ebay for like 2 months now. He's lowered the starting bid to 30,000, not sure what the reserve is though.

Looks like a buyers market for a 4.6 saleen, there is so many to choose from.

I looked at an 04 fully loaded saleen SC at a local dealer, 2,000 miles, they wanted 38,000, that's about 10,000 to much.

The red one is different. I'm still not even sure that one is real...

I think it is more than just the 4.6's that are low. Look at 351 speedsters car. He had it on Ebay and the highest bid was $16K. That car is at least worth $25K. Remember the 99 S351 that sold for $28,500 in the BJ auction two months ago? Check out the auctions on ebay for late 80's and early 90's saleens. They are selling for nothing.

I think it goes further than Saleen and 4.6's. Cobras have come down in price. I think the whole auto market is slow in general. Employee pricing, $10K in rebates. Cars are being made better and people are buying certified and saving money. When the supply increases, the demand decreases and the price follows the demand...

I also think it has to do with the mustang's re-design. Before when you were buying an 04 saleen mustang it resembled everything right down to 94. Now if you get an 04 or older you are getting the "older model" and everyone seems to be completely infatuated with the 05.

Everyone knows how good the 05 platform is compared to the chasis that of pre-05 cars.
I've been under the 05, makes me want to take my car to a chasis shop and have them make the frame physically as one (not just connectors)

The real question is if the prices have bottomed out yet.

I've heard mixed reviews on the 05. Some guys love it and others don't like the idea of trying to be like something your not.

Here in St. Louis the 05 saleens are struggling at best. There has been too much negative publicity. (not passing emissions and lower performance numbers) Not to mention the areodymics for drag racing is less than good.

Well, I did what I didn't want to do. I gave it away. However, my traveling starts tomorrow. It will be going to a new home with someone who is as particular as I am.

When I said I gave it away, I really mean that. The sale price was less than the final bid of my ebay auction.

It is going to a good home and will be well taken car of. The funds have yet to be transferred but should be completed tomorrow.
