Next I need a smaller profile wheel or tire. I have so much to do & so little time & money!!! Cant find a good speaker arrangement I have kick panel speakers (Poor bass tone .I'm still psychotic! Help!!!! :D

Kick Panel Speaker Fix:

I've done this, my friend invented the method, and it works BEAUTIFULLY.

I'm assuming you have the standard catalog-ordered 6.5 speaker kickpanels.

Measure and mount a ring of 3/4 inch MDF on the outside of the kickpanel, then fiberglass it smooth with the panel and paint it.

That easy.

If you do that, you can fit ANY 6.5 speakers you want in there, you'll no longer be limited because of backspacing for the magnet. My buddy had MBQuart PCEs in there.

forgot, also, you might want to try mounting a center speaker. it's a pain to do right, but you can actually split and then link your two front two speaker channels, and wire it to ONE front speaker. You know, under the dash. I stuck a 5X7 kenwood in there in my 69, it balanced things out beautifully.

Here's how I got great sound in my 68 :) And I've done as TazerRE suggested.

The homemade panel wich the subwoofer mounts on.

The dual 10" subwoofer mounted in the opening to the trunk with the homemade panel.

The kickpanel with an MDF extension, as TazerRE suggested.

My headunit Pioneer DEH P77MP (It's very important that you have a good one if you want good sound)

I chose this one mostly because of its retro style, but its a good unit. Costs about $550 here in sweden though.. but I'm shure its cheaper in USA.

The completed kickpanel with 5.25" DLS 425 2way-coaxial speakers.. Sounds great! $130 in sweden..

You can't see the subwoofer :D but I promise that you feel it.. ;)
