I waxed mine the day after I got it, so as far as I'm concerned....wax away!!! I heard the same thing before I got my car, that you had to wait 3 months, 6 months, etc. but I've heard other people say they waxed theirs too, so no big deal.
I was also told that it depends on the type of paint they use. I figure that there is a curing time needed before waxing the car, but I have no clue how long it takes for car paint to dry???
I would wait 3 weeks to a month. You can wash it, being gentle. Was the car sanded/buffed/polished yet? I would also recommend that you use Zaino products on the car now that it has fresh paint.
From the factory, since the piant is oven baked, you can wax them right away.
A fresh repaint can also be waxed right away, at least within 24 hours, as long as your wax contains no cleaners (abrasives) or solvents. If you use a solvent based wax on a fresh repaint you may not see problems now but you will later on down the road!!
It really depends on how your paint cured, if it was baked then wax away. if they rolled it out side and let nature do it's thing 3 months..
Here's a tip: Smell your paint and if it still smells sweet or fresh then hold off on the waxing.. once you can sniff your car and there is no smell WAX AWAY...
dont wax a car if it had a repair done. U have to wait about 60-90 days. It trapps all the solvents.
from the factory the cars sit for awhile b\4 they are sold so your are fine there..
