Title says it all. I got on Ford Direct's site and performed a search for 2005 Stangs within a 200 mile radius of me (south Louisiana) and came up with at least 9 used low mileage GT's on Ford dealer lots. At least one was a convertable, the rest coupes, many were manual trans. cars. Only drawback was their asking prices------- more or at least the same as new MSRP. If it were not for that, I'd cancel my 06 order and buy one of these.

Thanks but no thanks. Wrong colors, wrong trans. :D Ordered an 06, Vista Blue, manual trans. deluxe package, only option was the bright wheels. Don't want or need all the bells and whistles and ain't gonna pay for em if it's got em. :D

Sounds like my Sonic Blue 05, ordered with spoiler delete and IUP, thats it, $23,452 O.T.D C.M.B.

Picked it up Friday and the dealer had about 5 GT's on the lot and 4 Saleens, cheapest GT was just over $30k thanks to dealer markup, Saleens were just over $50k.

Hey, I got news for you ( ain't heard from you in a while :D ) I haven't had a classic Stang for a couple years now. The big block 67 left back in 89. Last one I had was a rusty 67 coupe, after taking it apart and finding it needed more and more work involved, it was time to cut my losses. I've got less and less time for what's needed to upgrade a classic to modern standards, and less and less inclination to do what's needed. Even now after finishing my 89 V8 Ranger to it's current 331-sixpack, 4 speed status, I've lost further interest in working on it. I'll still hang around the classics forums though, as long as they'll let me. :nice: Time for something new that I can drive and ( hopefully) not have to work on.

Prolly a few purchased the new stang and then found out that they couldn't afford that monthly payment. :bang:
You'll see more! :D
