So, I took my car into ford for a 55K mile service (their quoted price is 250 bucks for the service, ouch).

But, I have been having a few other issues...

1. fog light out
2. Seatbelts essentially don't retract, they are all twisted and even if you try to feed it back it, it doesnt' already retract
3. Headliner in the back was coming down
4. Drivers window seems out of alignment...

So...

Replaving a foglight bulb...they quoted me 60 bucks. That seems crazy to me. I am NOT mechanical at all...but how easy is this for me to do? The bulb is just a few bucks, no?

The seatbelts, he said all they could do is replace them...300 bucks each...any other suggestions or options? Again, how easy is this for me to look at?

Headliner is easy fix, said they can do it no worries.

The drivers window seems to be the issue now. It LOOKs like it is 'falling in' because the back will hit the door/seal, but there will be a gap near the front. The window is slow to go up, and comes down irregularly. He said if it is the motor, it will be at least 400 bucks to fix it. What are your guys' thoughts? Sound like a motor? An alignment? How easy or hard are windows to work on? Is that something, without a mechanical expertise, I need to just pay for?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated...

well,

1. fog light out is no problem at all, just buy the bulb (like 5 or 6 bucks at autozone). i dont think you even need any tools. just turn the old one left (from underneath the bumper) and it should come right out. put the new one in same way but oppisite :D . be carefull not to touch the bulb with your hand.

2. seatbelts..... welcome to ford.

3. seems like u already got that taken care of

4. u might need the dealer for this one. dont have any experiance w/ this.

Called the guy at Ford, gave him the TSB info for the seatbelts...hopefully that will take care of it.

I was suprsed at the cost of service as it is, let alone the seatbelt and window quote...

If anyone has any advice for the window...that would be great...
