I bought the Elite kit. Have not installed it yet. Kit looks good. Instructions are clear. You will need a pop riveter. It does not look hard to install.10 holes.Take your time. Read the instructions a couple of times.Call Redline Tuning and talk to one of the techs. They are user friendly. HTH

I haven't personally used it, but from what I've read over the last year or so on the forums, most people are very happy with them for the price. I don't know of anyone who didn't purchase the deluxe/elite kit, but I think it's probably a good investment.

You can buy that rivet gun you need for around 10 bucks at Home Depot or a store like that.

I just bought the Elite one. Should get it tomorrow. Having a friend put it on since he has a rivot gun. I've seen afew people that have the cheaper $60 one and they look like junk and their falling apart. Maybe they are'nt installing them correctly.

I've had mine for over a year now, and it still works great....and I have the standard kit.

I'll have to try that shim trick though now....I too have to drop my hood from a pretty good height to get it to latch - it did that before the redline struts too, though.

Been on my car a while also...one word of advise. Measure 2 twice...drill once.

I drilled out the holes in the wrong spot and had to bondo them up and start over...other than that they work excellent.
