Pics of crashed to crap '05 Mustang GT

Thanks for the pic.. My kids will never ride in my Mustang... Ever!! Look at the back seat!!... I'm removing the back seat of my stang permanently!! It should lighten it up.. But its obvious from this pic, the back of the Mustangs are a death trap..

So no kids in my Stang.. You have no idea how much I thank you for this particular picture!! May God Bless you!!

i think your kids would be ok in it, if you see the pic of the f350 at the back was raised. most cars are strenghtened at the rear but along the bottom for more strength on impact from another car. this was hit from higher up, so it stood no chance.

still, i understand how you feel about your kids. its a pretty horrific pic to say the least... as long as noone was hurt.

oh and, god bless you and your country :flag:

EDIT: if anyone was offended by the i have a better one quote, i meant picture, im sorry, it does seem like a heartless thing to say.

I know for a fact that a Black 05 GT fell off a semi in Saskatchewan on the way to a Ford Dealership in Edmonton. It was being delivered from a small town Ford Dealership to a Dealership in Edmonton. When the semi arrived in Edmonton, the Mustang was not on the truck. The driver stopped in North Battleford for a break and the car was on the truck. He did not stop between North Battand and Edmonton. The car was later found destroyed in the ditch on highway 16 between North Battleford and Lloydminister. Since this car does not have a licence plate on the rear, the originator of this thread is from North Battleford and the wrecker has a Saskatchewan plate on it, so I am pretty sure that this is that car.

Actually, I think the back seat of the Mustang would be pretty safe. The two back seats are more inboard than the typical three seat bench in back of most cars so the kid is more inside and also protected by the wheels and lack of some flimsy door on side impact. Plus the new Mustang has a big butt and is designed for the new rear impact standards. The accident with the lifted truck was a freak accident. Imagine that same accident with a car that weighed less than the Mustangs 3500 pounds.

that was my yellowness, and yep i don't think i would have fared as well if i had been in my 99 that i sold 17 days prior to that crash. Considering the circumstances i was lucky to be in a car that even saved the driver's compartment
I'm really glad you're okay! I'm sorry for all of your pain you've gone through. When I saw the pix, I was just horrified.

My friend, I am sorry.. I too was horrified by that picture.. If you dont mind me asking.. What exactly was the circumstances to such a devastating event? I dont like the way the back seat ended up.. I think there should be a law which states 4x4's front bumper can not exceed a certain height.. I am furious about what happen to the back seat of your car.. It has totally changed my attitude towards excessive 4x4's..

I am glad you ok, and there was nobody in the backseat of your stang.. But I'm still pissed off at the devastation that happened to the backseat area..

Defeats the purpous of having a bumper. Good law idea

There already laws on how high a bumper can be above the road, just like there are laws that state how far mirrors and objects can stick out on each side of a vehicle. At least in Texas there are. There are also laws stating how low a car can be from the ground too, I believe.

Here in California, 4x4's are not limited to any height restrictions.. If they are, they are not observed by law enforcment..

You know guys, in that picture, it could have went either way.. I think we all can agree that the fact the backseat was not occupied, allows this picture to be posted here.. But place one human in the backseat, and the picture's meaning changes..

I'll be the first to admit, that plans for my 2004 Tahoe included a 4" lift with 33's.. Forget about that now.. Maybe a 2 inch lift.. But I'm not in a hurry..

I wouldn't even see the point in lifting a Tahoe 4", unless you are going off-roading. Which you probably wouldn't, because most people don't in newer vehicles. It's just like that truck. You can tell he never went off road with it by the rims. It's stupid to lift something unless you are going to use it for what it's made for. And please don't think I'm trying to be rude to you or anything, because I'm definitely not trying to be, but that's how I feel about lifted vehicles.

Well look at the RAISED truck that crashed into it, its bumper is at head level of whoever was in the back (if anybody).

LOL!! Well its not lifted yet.. So your being , rude to a me that at this point does not exist, so its ok! LOL!!

Honestly, I'm not sure when it will get lifted.. I got lots to do to the Mustang first.. But that was my plan when I bought it.. You must understand, my brother in Law is in a Hummer Club.. They go off-roading once a month.. I started to buy a Hummer, but it didnt really fit my needs.. So I just got a Tahoe.. Lots of guys in the Hummer Clubs, have Tahoes, because they are basically the same chassis from GM.. So this is where the 4" lift idea came from.. When they go off-roading, its rough and rugged.. So I would actually use the 4x4 function of my Tahoe, and the 4" lift would come in handy!

I always wanted a Unimog to go off-roading with. :D

I wonder how many months the dealer let go by, before telling the person who ordered that black '05 GT? Or is that person still waiting? :D

I thought there was such a Fed law

... but it doesn't stop someone from jacking up their truck after they buy it.

In Idaho, bumper height on 4x4 can not be higher than 30". We think the truck was illegally raised, and it will be presued.

Someone HAD been in the back seat 5 minutes prior to this accident. Thank god i had dropped my friends off.

Circumstances of event:
I stopped at left hand turn lane stop light in Boise, Idaho in town at 1:50 in the afternoon, in a 35mph speed zone (trying to get onto the interstate). Had been sitting at a red light for about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes when he hit me. Going 50 mph, witnesses on the police report state that he actually ACCELERATED into me. He was cited for reckless driving and driving without privledges. His jury trial is next month. Luckally the truck (borrowed) had insurance AND the kid had insurance. He was not drinking, but i wouldn't doubt that he was on drugs. They didn't run a toxicology report on him.

Thanks for providing the circumstance of the accident. I know it must of been painful to recall the details again. 50MPH and you were able to walk away. To think your friends were in the back seat prior to the accident sent chills down my spine. Although it's been a very unfortunate set of circumstances, I too have learned by merely looking at the photos that I vow to never let anybody ride in the back. I showed my wife the pictures of the accident and she cringed at the sight of them. I have a one year old baby and we were planning on cruising around with him in the back but no way now.
