how are the BFG G-Force T/A KDWs

I've got about 18,000 miles on the KDWS (with the 400 treadwear rating). I'm not impressed and will definitely go with something else next time. They were fine until the first rotation (front to back, same side) at the 6000 mile mark. After that they began to get noisy. Add to that I experienced a problem with vibration through the steering wheel. Multiple trips to tire shops for balancing made little to no difference. When I finally had them load force balanced on a Hunter 9600 balancer it was determined that one of the tires was out of round! Rotating the tire on the rim made little difference. With quality like that I think I'll try something else next time.

the KDWS is not a very flattering tire to BFG, so i am not surpised... its a performance all season. the KD and KDW do hold up better, but not as long. on a side note to my above post, i have the Zeix now and i hate them... shoulda gone with the Fuzion on all 4.

I'm going to give them a try. The KDWS that is. They've got to be better than the stock $hitty GoodYears.

I'm getting a set of 4 (245/45/17) off a buddy of mine (who runs a salvage yard) with just under 1,000 miles on them for $150. I figure for that price I can't go wrong. We'll see how they are.

you'll like them ! grate tire ... the 245's dont hook to good though ! :p ...thats y i have the 285's

man i hate BFGs naming... are you getting the KDW tire or KDWS tire... seems there is a lot of confusion of what some people are talking about when in pleural form, (KDWs) as multiple form of KDW vs (KDWSs) the same form of the KDWS tire. I suppose just watch how you capitolize the S :p

Anything is better than the crapy stock tires, for 150 I would do it too.
