Tuners In Michigan?

I will let you know what I find out via PM.

If it wouldn't be too much trouble to copy and paste what you find out, i'd love a pm as well.

I live in royal oak, and have been looking at a couple different places. I've emailed them, but not spoken with anyone on the phone. I've been leaning towards alternative auto with an sct 2 tuner.

i'm curious to hear about pauls though

thanks in advance

Hello guys... (i'm in the market so to speak) but I thought I would help out a little here since I grew up in Jackon.

Paul has a special relationship with ford and did a lot of pre-development work with the 05's and FRPP. He is great, but he is busy! Try to call durning the week durning working hours and you can catch him. Other wise it's just best to drive over there to get your quotes...

He just did the gears in my 89 in June for St. Ignace.

Paul is the only guy I would trust but I am biased.

Not ripping on you or bad mouthing Paul in anyway, but Lidio worked for Ford while he stared his own business. I'm sure he had A LOT of input on the 05's as well.
Trust me, Ford still calls him up all the time and asks him ?'s about stuff too. Lidio did A LOT of R&D work for Vortech back in the 90's. He definately knows his stuff. Again don't get me wrong, this wasn't meant to try and burn you and I'm not saying anything bad about Paul. If I lived close to Jackson than I do, I'd definately use him myself. :nice:

I can understand where you are coming from... I haven't used Alt Auto yet although I did consider them for my gear install. I am sure both Lidio and Paul get a lot of work / calls. Again though, I am baised since I have been to his shop twice. They are both good, but I trust Paul becuase my dad lives right next door (across the train tracks actually)

.

I've bought "off the shelf" tunes from Lidio for an '03 Marauder, an '04 Marauder and my '05 GT (I'm down in New Orleans). Lidio is VERY busy as well but has always returned my calls and emails. I've received time stamped emails from Lidio that were sent at 6am, 11pm and at various times on the weekends. He is the most "customer service" oriented person I've dealt with for years, no question.

Just my experience.

One thing for sure, neither one of us would go to Livernois. :rlaugh:

Have known of and about "Alternative Auto" and Lidio for 5 years. Have not heard a bad word. I'm not a big "Go" spender and Yes he is busy, but he will take the time to make you feel comfortable with your intended mods. I always see cars from many states away at his shop and the locals too!

I just had the C&L CAI and his SCT X-cal2 "automatic trans" 93 otane flash tune, installed on the wife's O5. Very Pleased, it "Woke up the beast!"

Ok... I just stumbled on this thread... I'm a 05 V6 guy and I've been working with Lidio on getting my V6 going... I can tell you this guy know his stuff!!!

I went to the track with him Friday night... we wanted to see just what my V6 would do.. Lidio brought his 05 GT. As previously mentioned Lidio prefers Vortech and has one in his own GT... Here's a video from Friday night of Lidio's run. This was a "Test and Tune" night so the lanes had staggered starts... so it looks like Lidio had a bad start or the other guy jumped early... when in fact the far lane was going green first...

Here's the vid: Lidio's GT
